Design Process

Designing a new space is an exciting process. We have created a design process that develops your personal design style and gives you solutions. We select the fabrics, furnishings, floor and wall coverings, and accents to create your look. We manage the entire process including sourcing, specifying, fabricating, shipping, and installation. Our goal is to make you feel as excited and energized at the end of the project as you were at the beginning. Intrigued? Read further to understand the steps involved.

Step 1. Design Launch

After the contract is signed, we send you a questionnaire and review inspiration images for design direction. We discuss the scope of your project, your ideas, your lifestyle, and your budget.

Step 2. Design Concept

The development of the Design Concept gives us a benchmark for future decisions. We develop floor plans based on our first meeting. We discuss how you want the space to function, appropriate materials, style preferences, and colors.

Step 3. Materials and Specifications

If you are planning a remodel, we provide detailed specifications to your contractor in the following categories. Flooring, Wall Finishes, Tile/Countertops, Lighting, Plumbing, Hardware, and Appliances. We accompany you to showrooms as needed to review product in person.

Step 4. Construction Management

We attend construction meetings when needed to problem solve during construction. We provide detailed minutes and walk through the job site with each trade to review installation and materials.

Step 5. Furniture Selection

We select all fabrics, furnishings, and finishes, including upholstery, casegoods, window treatments, rugs, decorative lighting, accessories, and artwork. We work with your timeline and your budget to create the house of your dreams.

Step 6. Ordering Process

We detail every item so that you can approve it prior to ordering. We track each order as it goes through the manufacturing process to ensure timely delivery. This is a bit of a waiting period, but the end is in sight!

Step 7. Accessories

We work with your existing accessories and bring in additional pieces to fill out your rooms and personalize your home. We work with local art galleries to find key pieces.

Step 8. Installation

At this time the furniture is delivered, window treatments installed, and artwork hung. Welcome home!
