When we were building our home, we had several pieces of family furniture that just had to fit in. One of them was this sweet mahogany dresser from my dad’s childhood bedroom.

Vintage bath vanity
It needed a little help, a bit of refinishing and some new ‘antique’ knobs. We placed a square vessel sink on top as the dresser was a bit low. My cabinet maker reworked the drawers to allow for the plumbing. The top two drawers are now U-shaped to allow for the waste pipe. Since this is in a powder room, we did not mind losing the storage! Here are some other ideas for re-using vintage furniture in bathrooms.
From Patrick Sutton comes this beautiful farmhouse vanity.
And Brooke Giannetti reworked a Swedish sideboard with metal sinks. I love the mix of metals with the gold mirrors!
