California Meets Virginia

The Project:

4,000 SF new construction in Menlo Park for a family of five. We balanced the needs of the couple by responding to her California roots and his Virginia background.

The Concept:

We used traditional details like leaded glass windows, transoms, wallpaper, and built in bookcases to give the home an east coast feeling. We opened up the rooms to the backyard with large expanses of windows to take advantage of the yard.

The Team:

Interior design and furnishings: Johnston Home
Architect: Bob Flury, Builder: BK Development, Photos: David Duncan Livingston
