Family Farmhouse
The Project
New construction, 4500sf, farmhouse style home in Menlo Park. This family of five lead very active lifestyles and needed a home built for entertaining and family time.
The Team
Interior design and furnishings: Johnston Home
Architect: Jim Maliksi, Builder: Adcon Builders, Photos: David Duncan Livingston
The Concept
The home takes advantage of California’s indoor outdoor flow by opening up to the yard through pocket doors and a bifold wall. The kitchen is the core of the home with eating and study areas nearby. We layered in personal touches including vintage barnwood from the husband’s family farm. Modern lighting and art keep the home fresh and current.
